The cold start to the year has made going out to my local grass spot a bit of a challenge not only because the area was frozen but the roads up there have been impossible to get up even with the most rugged 4x4's. Sessions on the beach have been interesting trying to hold an edge on frozen sand is fun and hitting patches of ice and disappearing off downwind always raises a smile. This was all brought to a bit of an abrupt end though on the 25th or January when i received a phone call at about 1am. Time to dive into the car and get down to the hospital and help out (by which i mean hold my partners hand and try no to get in the way to much) with the delivery of my new daughter Molly. Coming in at 7lb 14oz and 55cm she's perfectly healthy and im looking forward to the day she's able to take her first few steps because then its time to start looking for her first mountain board and kite.
